Troy Innovation Garage Announces “Micro Meetup,” a Microenterpise Accelerator Program to Launch and Support Small Business

Troy, NY: Troy Innovation Garage today announced “Micro Meetup,” a new microenterprise accelerator program to help launch and support small businesses in the Capital Region. The first cohort of the 6-week program will take place in the Fall of 2022, and participants will learn the basics of business, startup principles and business management. Access to business advisors, including for legal, bookkeeping/tax, insurance, banking, sales and marketing, will be available. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis with final acceptance decisions announced in Summer.

Nardacci said Troy Innovation Garage is launching this program now because there are people who built so-called “side hustles” or “hobby businesses” over the past two years during the pandemic, who now want to keep that stream of income, or want to build off a passion into something full-time.

Nardacci added that among other benefits, the accelerator program will result in direct micro funding for everyone who successfully completes the cohort, ranging from $1000 to $5000, including a membership and access to Troy Innovation Garage.
